The Montecarlo Winery & Town

On a rainy day, we signed up for a tour of the Montecarlo Winery, and the small town that it lives in. The winery is a real, earthy, family business. Nothing glamorous or touristy about it. While we huddled under umbrellas, the nice lady explained how they make wine, showed us the vineyard, served us some of her wine (and appetizers). The very scent of one of their wines (Vin Santo) had a very attractive impact on me. It evoked some strong feelings of my childhood. I could not recall the long-ago event, but the effect was very strong. I think we order 6 bottles of the stuff to be shipped here. Hopefully, as I drink more and more and more of it, my memory will return :) .
