Dave's Journal, Apr2021
Easter: went to Deb's brother Dave's house for gourmet foods and intense political arguments. Happily no one was shot or knifed. (Well, maybe it wasn't that bad actually.)
Here's Don and Elise ....
Brought my 7.5mm fisheye to see what would happen. Made things look like survellance pics .....
Driving around today, we went by our old cabin neighborhood in Ashburnham. Stop at a pond that I photographed many times back then (at sunrise). Here it is today in early afternoon.
I try to stay away from C-grade monster movies, but it's an addiction. Much like buying camera gear.
"Destroy All Monsters" has the most monster-inclusive fight scene of any of these movies. Here is a short clip.
Had my implants tuned up yesterday. Trying to reduce the "chipmunk sound" of voices into my left side. We made some improvement. It's interesting for a retired engineer to understand what the audiologist is doing with amplitudes and frequencies. I try not to aggravate Nicole with my questions (or my "advice").
On the drive home, I stopped at the Wachusett Reservior dam.
Well, I'm on a roll this week. Got out to the wildlife sanctuary today ...
I watched this chipmunk through the window for about 10 minutes, eating a small bird (a wren?). Did not see how the bird died, but saw the chipmunk drag the body away from other birds fluttering about. This totally surprised me.
He later buried the remains under some leafs and flowers.
