Diggin' Up Bones

My RX7 from the 80's. Cool car, I bought it from a coworker at GE. Got hit 3 times by a car, a van, an 18-wheeler - all stated they did not see me (this is a very small car, and the gray color didn't help visibility).
One time, pulling out of a parking lot, the van in front of me backed up and hit me. I get out (it was raining) screaming obscenities, waving my arms. Van door opens. This little nun, about 5' tall gets out, crosses her arms and bows to me. I stand there in the rain, my brain on overload, asking the gods exactly how should I react to this.

I shrugged my shoulders. We drove off.

Akira Kurosawa's Movie: Ran ("Chaos")

I consider this one of the finest movies ever made. It has intrigue plus spectacular battle scenes . It's the (very loose) Japanese movie interpretation of Shakespeare's "King Lear".

A. Warm day on the porch (it's February!)
B. My seat.
C. My wine (Eliquis be damned).
D. American Art magazine.
E. Laptop for web surfing.
F. Agravating kitten.
G. Suspicious vagabond roaming the neighborhood.

jpgLucky

No actual storyline, no ending. Fabulous acting (HD Stanton "owns" this picture). It's a series of vignettes around this very grumpy, scared old guy coming to grips with the end of life as he's known it. I bought the DVD sight unseen, and very glad that I did.
David Lynch (think Twin Peaks and The Straight Story) has a small acting roll, and I am pretty sure his son directed this. Definitely has the The Straight Story feeling.

Called the Mike Squad

jpgHad a computer problem caused by too much old, retired libraries and respositiories, so the computer was a mess. Called Mike. He was able to tunnel into my computer and do the repairs from his house !.

Problems solved.

Watched it Again / Loved it Again

(Must ignore the silly fight between her and Ares at the end.)
