This outdoor car show has been revised this year to be more "family friendly" is what the glossy brochure said. It's been happening for 28 years and I guess that it was getting a bit wild and crazy for the locals, and new people run it now. This was my first trip there.
It is in a huge old park (lovely big old trees and a lake) and the cars are well spread out - exhibitors park wherever they desire. This beats hell out of the usual show on hot asphalt with no shade to be found. The setting was really nice. I am also very impressed that these cars are extremely well restored compared to the stuff you usually see in parking lot exhibits.
The guys who restore these vintage beauties are no younger than 50 at best. Most are in my age bracket, and most of the cars are 1950 - 1970 vintage, and most are American made. So basically it's us old guys struggling to re-capture lost youth.
Hard to pick my very favorite car, but these are the ones I really liked and were photogenic enough to post here.
