Leominster is promoting the race as a "family event", and the participation was pretty good tonight. They even had kiddie races !
The classic event was born and raised in Fitchburg 50 years ago, but local interest has really died in that town. There will be a similar race in Fitchburg this Sunday. I'll check it out. 0 years ago this race was a *major* event. Packed with spectators all along Main St., Fitchburg. Sad to see it struggling now.
