"Sometimes the Law isn't good enough"
We had a power outage. House got down to 590 and had to call Mike over to get the generator started. No easy task, as it was dormant for at least a year. But he did this and that and ran off to the hardware store and got the thing fired up.
Power came up after 5 hours. (That little creature had nothing to do with this.)

They ran out !!!!
Running out of paper towels, toilet paper and bottled water was one thing. But .....
Deb was scheduled for her first COVID vaccine shot at 2:15 today, at the Polish-American Lodge (stop smirking) a few towns away. We get there . . long long line of cars to enter the lot. We sit. Some cars run out of patience and leave. We are making no progress towards entering the parking lot. After 20 minutes we notice a cop walking down the line from car to car talking to drivers, who are then making U-turns and leaving. Yep - they ran out of vaccine !
These cars were all pre-scheduled appointments, as we were. And they ran out of vaccine ??? Cannot imagine how this happens (count your ###ing needles guys ! )
Anyway, we drove home and Deb got invited for a shot down in "her" hospital in Boston for this Friday. Since it's a big, reputable hospital associated with Harvard, I want to believe thay can count how many vaccines they have on hand before handing out appointments.
Jees!
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control. A genre of videos intended to induce ASMR has emerged, over 13 million of which had been published on YouTube by 2018.
Young girl (Dakota Fanning) on the autism spectrum, writes a screenplay and breaks out of her safehouse to deliver it to LA. (It ends well, but you'd sure like to kick some peoples' asses along the way.)
Continuing with my Akira Kurosawa binge from last month, I watched this - his spin on Macbeth happening in 1600's Japan.
Much of it looks like an old silent movie with very exagerated expressions and gestures. The actress that plays "Lady Macbeth" does a fantastic job. And the cinematography is as great as always.
