Dave's Journal, Nov2024
Nice 2 hours to see what's new down there. (Also love the old stuff.) Traffic was kind this day.
Funny that the galleries and halls were empty but the two main cafes were packed and had long waiting lines. !
There was a small Dali exhibit .... he's okay for me, but just okay.
Few weeks back, we drove down to Loretta's (Virginia) for hiking, etc etc.
Loretta's planning and preparation was (as you'd expect) supreme, with everyone bringing food and goodies along. The "lodge" was modern, really nice - included a large hot tub and a game room filled with pool tables and ping-pong tables.
But after two days, Deb and I learned that having no cell phone or GPS service on poorly marked gravel roads in unfamiliar territory was very unnerving for us old folks, so we kissed and hugged and headed home, hoping no one's feelings were hurt.
I collected pictures from everyone and put them up here for the recordbook:

I used up one of my lives today when I cut the power line with the hedge clipper.
Dreamlike, no plot, nostalgic, pleasant, often weird.
Beautiful photography, short, tragic (all French movies end in death).
Feelin' poorly this week (cold/cough) plus a touch of pneumonia (they say). On meds, getting better.
It's T-day today and Deb is off to her brother's for turkey (committed to go) while I am in my rocker going to see the Wizard.
Watched it last night. Makes me sleepy.
Note to me: this is a silent screen capture of a VLC playback
with added motion blur and some simple Gama, etc tweaks.
