Dave's Journal, Oct2023
Well . . . I tried some photo-merging / animation stunts that turned out to be a big waste of my time. Then I saw this crystal ball sitting in the bookcase and decided to squeeze a picture out of it.
But the better news item is ... one of my favorite cameras got sticky buttons a year ago. Got so bad that I put it up on the shelf and figured it was history. (The shop wanted $150 just to take it out of the box.)
Then last week, I watched a Youtube video and .... yesterday, I squeezed some drops of isopropyl alcohol down each button, dial and switch. Waited until it evaporated, put in a battery and SD card and .... Ta-Da!!! ... my lovely old camera is working again. Took that crystal ball picture up there.

You could stay in your seat and watch it 2 or 3 times
before they switched over to the evening movie !

Nice Lady at Pastry Shop:
These are . . . whatever you imagine them to be.
While AI tries to make computer images look photo-realistic,
we also try to make realistic photographs look sketchy !!
Trek'd to Boston to walk along the Charles River, then up Newbury St., lunch at Joe's, cut through the botanic garden (the pond is drained) to the train home. Great day !!
As far as pictures, I was mostly in a B&W mood for the final touches.
(I am on a vintage movie kick this week)
