Sep.20.2008 : flights down were kindly uneventful, and i noticed that, despite the fact that i don't believe that God watches over us on a daily basis, i do ask for a safe flight before every take-off. .... and promise to be good for the rest of my (hopefully long) life.

Deb crashed after lunch .... she is sound asleep .... and i am playing with the eeepc .... tomorrow we hit the parks.

Sep.21.2008 : Magic Kingdom Day was hot and humid, and we took it easy and strolled all day.

Fell into looking at Disney Vacation time share condo deal (we do this on every vacation !) even went to the 45 minute "no-pressure" presentation which was total glossy BS (as you'd expect)..... The Numbers Don't Lie and the story these numbers tell is "do something else with your money."

a life-size family was one of the smaller lego displays at Downtown Disney, if we go back, i'll snap some others.

Sep.22.2008 : Animal Kingdom Day .... 90F and 99% humidity and i caved in .... needed shade and water and a cold wet mickey mouse towel on my neck .... came to life again and we went on the jungle safari ride. it was good .... as close to a rhino as i ever want to get, but impossible to take pictures from the transport on a jungle road.

we left and it rained buckets and we spent 90 minutes busing 5 miles back to Downtown Disney for a late lunch.

.... watching people pass by makes me re-realize that America is a country diverse in many many subcultures, and reflecting (briefly) on the upcoming election, the forces of religions and social subcultures exceed the force of logic i am sure, and it's anyone's guess as to who will get elected..... or why.

Sep.23.2008 / EPCOT Countries of the World

weather was perfect, we strolled all day. epcot countries has always been the best place for me .... nothing to get excited about, just wandering around at ease and eat and drink and take pictures all in slow motion.

we shopped in every country, we were amused and entertained in france, china, canada, mexico and america and we ate in germany, england and america .... i would have liked mexico, but D wouldn't sign up for it today (but she did have a few margaritas!).

tomorrow we come back to do the epcot "technology" circuit.

(i have been humming "it's a small world" song now for 2 days and can't stop !)

yikes, my 24 internet hours just finished and they want another $10 .... time for the revolution i think .... isn't the internet free ?? (not at DisneyWorld).

i took lots of careful shots of the epcot globe, but the best image was a true snapshot on the way out of epcot, i just turned half way around, held the camera up and popped it.... i scrapped all the other versions.

Sep.24.2008 / Epcot Day 2

slept late and moved slow.... made it to epcot near to noon. i ended up amazed how quickly (moving slow) we covered the exhibits....only skipping 2 after reading the cautionary "dont ride this if ....." signs.

found another great place to eat (stay away from the restaurants that want reservations) .... we have had great tasting food and not spending lots of money on it.

revisited the lego store .... incredible models there ..... HUGE water serpent model !!

took the (free) river boat back to within 500 feet of our room! .... sat by the pool for 2 drinks, now watching people dance on TV (poor me.... they sent Edyta home).

Sep.25.2008 / Hollywood Studios

supreme day .... hollywood studios is a nice place to be. could have more movie magic stuff for us movie afficiandos who can't get enough.... but a great day anyway ... we could watch movie clips all day long.

i promised D that i would not be sarcastic or cynical or grumpy this week, so i can't comment on the imbeciles that drive Disney buses.
